Chest Pain Evaluation Service

Evaluating chest pain can be tricky, time consuming and often requires equipment and technical expertise that many practices are not equipped for. Santé Personalized Cardiology has an answer that will not simply lead to more diagnostic tests that may never reveal the real issues confronting a patient. We follow the guidelines established by the SHAPE initiative.

This service is supervised by Dr. John McB. Hodgson, former Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University and interventional cardiologist for the past 25 years. Our service uses the latest imaging techniques to actually look at the coronary vessel wall, not indirect tests which only find end-stage disease. Dr. Hodgson or his staff will evaluate each patient in a private, concierge-setting , determine the appropriate imaging tests, and set evidence-based management protocols using our patented GuardianVPM™ (virtual patient management) system to ensure continuity of care.

Santé’s Chest Pain Evaluation service includes the following:

• Focused cardiovascular history
• Screening Framingham risk assessment for heart and cardiovascular disease
• Electrocardiogram (EKG)
• Ankle Brachial Index calculation
• Exercise and fitness assessment
• Diet and nutrition assessment
• Calcium-score CT heart screening (if over 40 years old)
• One month trial membership to use of our patented GuardianVPM™ (virtual patient management) system for managing risk-factors
• E-Mail access to our staff
• Year-long access to web-based wellness toolkit including diet and nutrition programs that can be customized to fit individual patient-needs including cognitive behavior therapy-based programs for smoking cessation, weight loss and exercise
• Follow up visit with Dr. Hodgson for imaging report review and recommendations.
• Detailed report and recommendations to the primary referring physician
• The cost for the Chest Pain Evaluation visit is $597 and can be bundled or unbundled with our other concierge-cardiology programs. Out of network insurance claims will be filed for services rendered.
